About the Live Edge Woodland Pub Table
The Woodland Pub Table is a solid wood live edge counter height pub table. It is made 36" h which is considered standard counter height.
The top live edge slabs are un-steamed walnut, which means there is more color variation then "traditional" black walnut. Blonde tones in the walnut wood are most common, which is why it pairs so well with the maple accent on the aprons and chairs.
Special Information About This Set
I use clean boards on these live edge tables (I cut out knots and splits). That means my tables often have more than two boards glued for the top. The reason for this is twofold:
- Large knots and splits can "move" and cause problems down the road.
- To differentiate. Plenty of craftsmen out there work in rustic live edge. These live edge pub tables are more coentemporary.
I also use live edge for the chair tops, a creative way to extend the aesthetic of the table throughout the set that I haven't seen done by another craftsman yet.
